The Plan for a Three (3) Day “Esther Fast”

Esther chapters 3 & 4 give us Gods plan for saving a nation (the only one given in the Bible). We believe God is calling all Christians to return to our first love through fasting and prayer. God saved the entire nation of Israel through the plan given in the book of Esther. If it worked for Israel, it will work for America too. We are dedicating the first three days of December to fast and pray for our nation. Then we will devote the remainder of the month to focus upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

Fasting will bring us to:

 

1. Personal, self examination of our own spiritual condition.
2. Confession of all known sin
3. Repentance, (sorrow for our sin and a turning away from same)
4. A deep cleansing by the HOLY SPIRIT
5. Then we are able to hear from God, and be able to pray (intercede) for others, and for our nation, to be healed according to 2 Chronicles 7:14

 

(For those with medical problems, a partial fast is sure to be honored by the Lord; oatmeal or yogurt is a good option.)
